Hey there,

I just tried to build my first nas, but unfortunately my HDDs don t get detected in the bios (I use 2x4TB Ironwolf seagate HDDs with sata connection;I also have a SATA SSD that gets detected) . Because of that i wanted to try and update the bios to see if it makes a difference. As far as i can tell i have the motherboard CW-ADLN-NAS motherboard(attached it) with an intel n100; In the bios the information that get presented are:

Bios vendor        CWWK

Core Version      5.27

Compliancy        UEFI 2.8; PI 1.7

Project Version   CW-NAS-ADLN A01

How can i update the bios on the motherboard cause i don t find any files corresponding to this exact motherboard. Furthermore does this even solve my problem.

This motherboard has only one native PCH SATA port, which supports OS installation and system boot. All other SATA ports are expansion ports running over PCIe instead of the PCH controller. These PCIe-based SATA devices cannot be recognized in the BIOS, and do not support system installation or boot. This limitation cannot be resolved or improved by BIOS updates.

Recommended usage:Install the operating system on an NVMe M.2 drive.Use a second drive for cache acceleration, and utilize the remaining SATA ports solely for data storage.
