Hi i have the Problem, my system Stucks @ 400MHz CPU Clock.

There are no Thermal Issues. Im not able to go to hundret of BIOS Settings to find propper settings.

I Loaded Optimal Defaults, had allready reset the Bios and so on.

Is there a Bios Version with default settings which works out of the box with new Kernels?

OS Details: Proxmox 9.1.7, Kernel 6.17.13-2-pve

Test Command for CPU: root@proxmox:~# stress --cpu 8 --timeout 300s

Result:

I tried all 3 Bios Version found here: https://drive.x86pi.cn/BIOS/5.NAS-BIOS/i5-8265UES

Everytime with Load Optimal Defaults (F9)

I really Like the Board, but this BIOS is really not user friendly, please help!

Please try switching to a different kernel version, such as an older/lower version.

Alternatively, attempt installing PVE 8.3 or 8.2.

If the issue persists, please perform a stress test using Ubuntu 24.04 and monitor the maximum CPU frequency.

We will also conduct testing with the same motherboard model on our end.

If we reproduce and resolve this issue, we will release an updated BIOS, which will be available at the same URL.

    I tested Proxmox 8.2.2 - 8.4.18 everything runs smoth.

The CPU is working as it should.

With Stress -cpu 8  the CPU clocks until 3.5GHz. In Peak for arround a second ~4.099MHz. (See attached picture)

So everything is pefect with Proxmox 8.4.18 Kernel: 6.8.12-20-pve

If i install the latest Proxmox VE Version, CPU clocks only until 400MHz like shown in the first Post.

A fix for Proxmox 9 is welcome :-)
