Hallo Team

Is it correct that the CW-NAS-W680 motherboard does not work with the 12 Gbit/s SAS backplane of the case JMCD 12S4?
So the CW-NAS-W680 motherboard can only be connected directly to the SAT 3.0 of the HDD, right?

Does the CW-NAS-W680 motherboard also support DDR4 memory?

Thank you very much.

What you provided is likely the model of the hard drive backplane included in the chassis—probably a 12G backplane that supports SAS. If my understanding is incorrect, please clarify in your next reply. The motherboard’s U.2 (SFF-8643) interface outputs native SATA signals. You can either use an SFF-8643-to-4×SATA adapter cable or a hard drive backplane that directly converts SFF-8643 to SATA. Please note that the motherboard does not support SAS, as SAS controllers are very expensive and therefore were not included in the design or support roadmap.Regarding memory compatibility:The system supports standard SO-DIMM or UDIMM modules. It only supports DDR5 memory—DDR4 is not compatible.Recommended memory specifications: DDR5 UDIMM, 1R (single-rank), speed 5600 MT/s or 4800 MT/s.Suggested brands: Samsung or Crucial (Micron).Maximum capacity: Up to 32 GB per module, for a total of 128 GB (with 4 slots).
