I recently purchased the CWWK x86 P5 MAX motherboard along with an adapter card to install 6 NVMe drives via SFF-8654.

Motherboard:

Expansion card:

I found the latest BIOS CW-Mini-P5-MAX-7M2-fix20250830.iso at:

https://drive.x86pi.cn/BIOS/1.miniPC-BIOS/x86Pi(P1_P2_P3_P4_P5_P6_P7)/CW-X86-P5-MAX

Power Supply:

I am currently using the power adapter 120W 19V as show in figure delivered by CWWK

Unfortunately I do not recognize any m2 drive I put on the boards,.

Not even if they are on the additional card or on the main one.

Are there specific BIOS settings I need to change to recognize 7 NVMe drives?

Can I add this extra SSD in the wifi adapter?

or the PCI line are already saturated?

In addition to the 8654 cable, the expander board also requires a 4-pin power cable—have you connected it properly?

Furthermore, since the signal originates from a PCIe CLS, drive #1 must be populated first; the system will not recognize other drives if the #1 slot is left empty. You may install drives in any other slots freely, as long as slot #1 is occupied.

Based on the BIOS name you provided, we believe you are using the correct version. No additional settings are required in the BIOS—all necessary configurations have already been pre-configured for you.

Of course I also plugged the 4-pin power delivery camble from the mainboard to the 6*m2 adapter card!
I did it many times, but I never get recognized my fist drive mounted on the mainboard and my 2 extra m2 on slot 1 and 2.
I restarted the system many times.
Never managed to make it working!
