How to enable 5600 memory speed on NAS-W680-10G motherboard?

Hi,

the specifications and manual of the board mention that it supports up to, 5600Mhz memory via XMP. At some point, I was able to see the XMP options in the BIOS under the memory configuration page. I tried all available fitting XMP profiles (4800/5600) of my PVV564G600C30K memory kit but none of them posted, the board always got stuck with post code 55.

The same CPU and memory kit was able to run at 6000 speeds on the previous motherboard.

Now after a few CMOS resets I can not see memory configuration options anymore, the BIOS only shows current default configuration of 4800Mhz with no option to change it.

Is there a QVL list for memory somewhere, and how does one get to the memory configuration in the BIOS?

regards,

Dominik

Yes, it mostly runs at 4800. Under certain specific conditions, it can reach up to 5600. However, this is not a motherboard designed primarily for high performance; it's better suited for use as a NAS that runs continuously. Also, please note that if you install four memory modules, the speed might drop to 4200 or 4400, which is normal. If you truly require such high performance and need to install this many drives, I assume you're prepared for its relatively high power consumption.

If you can access our wiki, you might be able to find some useful information.

Thank you for the link to the wiki!

Do you have a list of memory kits you validated? I am considering buying a 64GB kit that runs at 5600, or a 128GB that works at 4800.
