Hi,

I have some questions concerning W680 NAS motherboard.

1. Is the a motherboard manual available?

2. Do the motherboard support Kingston ECC memory KSM56E46BD8KM-32HA?

3. If I want to use both PCIe x16 slots why is the highest PCIe version limited to 4.0 in that case?

Thanks in advance!

Please refer to the following address — you may find the information you need there. You might need to translate it yourself, as our colleagues involved in global trade typically handle translations independently. We apologize, but currently, the wiki and user manuals are only available in Simplified Chinese.

Thanks for the information. I have found this help center webpage wiki to find information.

A follow up question @loodd is the Intel Gen13 and Gen14 microcode issue fixed in the lastest. See https://community.intel.com/t5/Blogs/Tech-Innovation/Client/Intel-Core-13th-and-14th-Gen-Desktop-Instability-Root-Cause/post/1633239 for reference. A lot of other motherboard vendors have a fix for this in their latest bios. How is it with the BIOS for W680 NAS motherboard?

Sorry for overlooking your other questions earlier. The ECC only supports UDIMMs, and using both PCIe x16 interfaces will automatically split them into x8/x8 allocated across two channels. As we can see, the motherboard's PCIe lanes have been pushed to their limits, making it even impossible to fully realize our original design; therefore, PCIe is only used as a backup expansion option. The motherboard itself is already an excellent NAS board. Regarding BIOS updates, you can keep an eye on its BIOS section—we collect feedback from all users to release periodic update patches. Currently, its security microcode is not outdated.
