Hello,

I bought the CWWK-X86-P6 with N355 CPU this week and installed the following M.2 NVME SSDs:

- 4x Kingston KC3000 2TB (SKC3000D/2048G)

In the BIOS under “NVME Configuration”, however, only one NVME is displayed.

The device is currently running the latest BIOS version “CW-TWINTBX-1C2L” with build date 12/09/2024.

I have also tried to reflash the “4M.2 X1” BIOS - without success.

The NVMEs themselves are definitely OK and are recognized correctly in other devices.

I would be grateful for any help, otherwise I would rather return the device.

    Hello,

After completing the BIOS update, please try the following steps to ensure the system starts up properly:

Fully power down the system – Disconnect the power supply completely (including unplugging the power cable and removing any backup battery, if applicable).Wait for 5 seconds, then reconnect the power cable and attempt to power on the system.

    Important Notes:

1.Please install the hard drives in the order indicated by the silk screen markings on the motherboard.

2.Try using different brands or models of drives to verify whether they are recognized properly.

3.The issue may be caused by poor contact with the adapter card – please try reseating or replacing the adapter card.

4.If you plan to use 4 NVMe drives simultaneously, it is recommended to use low-power NVMe models to avoid power supply issues.

At this time, we cannot confirm whether the BIOS firmware you updated is the correct or officially recommended version. If the issue persists after following the steps above, please provide the name of the BIOS firmware file or the download link, so we can further assist with troubleshooting.

We look forward to your reply. Thank you for your cooperation!

    Best regards,

    Hello loodd,

the system has been completely shut down several times and the power-cord was removed.

    Regarding your points:

    - 1. there are four slots for four NVMEs. i have tried several configurations and swapped the NVMEs with each other with no success

    - 2. i bought these NVMEs specifically for this device. I don't have any other NVMEs to swap out, and I can't/won't buy another set for several 100$.

Every single one of the drives is recognized when I plug it into the first slot on the adapter card and reboot the device several times.

    - 3. I have removed and reinserted the adapter card and even opened the device to check the contacts. Everything is connected where it should be. I don't have an adapter card on hand to replace it. A replacement would probably take two weeks to get. I'd rather return the device and save myself the hassle.

    - 4. The supplied power supply is rated up to 8A at 12V (i.e. max. 96W) and the power consumption is 30-40W in the bios, so that shouldn't be a problem. The drives consume ~2.8W each in normal operation. I have also deactivated some onboard devices (HD audio, SATA etc.) in the BIOS as a test to rule out the power supply as the cause.

The BIOS was reflashed as a last resort after I tried everything possible.

The BIOS was downloaded from https://www.kdocs.cn/folder/calCYpLeJsf9, as mentioned in this thread: https://bbs.x86pi.com/thread?topicId=18264

I used the file with the name “4xM.2 X1” (according to the translation).

Nothing has changed after flashing. Same model, same firmware version. So the latest version was already installed on the device.

SIGjo have you been able to find a solution?

Unfortunately not. I also removed the CMOS battery, reset everything, tested everything again from the beginning etc. - without success.

After almost two weeks of testing, I have realized that I don't want to continue with this. The device was sent back.
