Flashed CW-NAS-ADLN-KV10_noBootSATA_20240624 on N355 board version

I flashed new BIOS using "CW-NAS-ADLN-KV10_noBootSATA_20240624.iso" on my brand new CW-NAS-ADLN-K, Twin Lake N355 Version.

I was thinking it's the newest BIOS. Flashing worked without error.

It's dead now. I think this BIOS version is maybe not made for my hardware?

Please advise on how to recover.

Hello, I need to prepare a USB flash drive to download and install ventoy. Thank you for your help but I can not flash BIOS because the motherboard does not start up. It does not POST.
I think it is bricked for now.
Is the BIOS version "CW-NAS-ADLN-KV10_noBootSATA_20240624.iso" even compatible with N355 CPU?
Anyway, I have a TL866II+ programmer. I assume the w25q128jvsq chip near PCIe and SATA ports is the BIOS flash chip.
Can you confirm if the chip is possible to program in-system? Or do I have to remove it?

Please extract the bin file from the ISO. This is usually the BIOS system. Before clearing and executing the write operation, please pay attention to the BIOS chip model and choose the correct one. Good luck!

I had the same issue, yes the winbond chip between the PCIe and SATA ports is the bios chip. I used a clip and raspberry pi to reflash mine. :)

I am having the same issue -- I used RUFUS to build a flash drive with the exact same BIOS as the original poster here, and after booting from it, once it seemed to have finished updating it said it needed to power cycle the device and did so automatically. After that, the video output ceased entirely. I waited several minutes before attempting to power cycle the device manually, which still did not result in any video output. There is no error beep. Fans power up, USB devices power on, and ethernet will show green lights if connected. I have removed all HDDs and SSDs from the system, attempted using a different known-working RAM stick, removed all USB drives, disconnected power and removed CMOS for several minutes, attempted a short of the JBAT pins while the system was disconnected from AC power (but while CMOS battery was installed), etc, all without any change in the systems behavior. Please advise what I should try. I would be more than happy to use the newer BIOS that is listed here, but I cannot physically get the system to load into boot-device selection or BIOS.

You made the same mistake as me. Your board is bricked until you find a way to write a working firmare to the flash chip on the board.
This happened because of an unfortunate combination of factors:
1. The EFI script that calls the intel flash programing tool does not verify board compatibility and just writes to the chip. Actually this is nice from a tinkering perspective, but puts the burden of making sure the firmware you're trying to write is compatible solely on you.
2. The board exists in two revisions (Alder Lake cpu OR Twin Lake cpu) that are not nearly distinguished enough in the documentation, labeling and available download locations.
If you can't or don't want to fix it yourself: Find an electronics workshop. You might be able to get your board repaired by someone there with the right tools and experience, either by in-systen flashing (without taking the chip off the board) or by unsoldering, flashing and resoldering the chip (I did it this way myself).
