Power switch dead LED

I have a new install. The machine is a  I7-1355U 6L - a 6 port router.

The power switch doesn't illuminate. I have another near identical machine - same MoBo but with an I5 processor. The power switch on that machine illuminates bright blue when powered on. The switch on the new machine functions - it turns the machine on and off, but doesn't illuminate.

The machine runs fine using the provided psu. I have a couple of nvme drives installed plus 64Gb of ram. Proxmox and a bunch of VM's run just fine. Just no front panel power indication.

Also, I have the bios to auto restart on power failure, but this doesn't seem to function - on the I5 when I first plug it in it powers sup, but the new I7 doesn't do that.

Do I have a faulty board?

Can the led be user replaced somehow?

Do I need to replace the MoBo?

Hello, would it be convenient for you to record a video? We can better explain the cause of the malfunction to you. Currently, we don't quite understand your written description. Is the new i7-1355U not working now?

I tried to upload a video - not sure how to do that. The machine (new I7) turns on. It works. But the power button is not illuminated. The green led on the back comes on with power, but not the power button on the front panel. Also, the machine does not automatically power on when the power is first plugged in. I have it set to boot up after a power loss in the bios. Maybe the jumper needs setting?

I dismantled the system, removed the battery, left it out for an hour. Assembled and re-started. No change. No power on boot, no led light in the power switch.
